MEET THE COACHES AT ESU

  • ELITE SOCCER UNIVERSITY

ESU was founded as elite educational and motivational youth soccer camp aimed at preparing athletes for higher levels of the sport. This program is designed to tap into young athletes physically, emotionally, and mentally.

The three week program will be held during the summer of 2009 will include key note speakers well-versed in the sport of soccer, hands-on training with past and present professional players and coaches, and intense soccer training designed to take young athletes to their highest potential.

ESU is designed to train a select group of athletically elite class of soccer players who have already demonstrated their soccer ability, their seriousness for soccer, and have chosen soccer as their primary sport.

ESU will use an “invitation only” policy as its guide to enrollment for the upcoming 2009 camp season.

ESU has created a local, state and national network to help identify the nation's top prep soccer players. Along with the “Minority Soccer Development, Inc” and the U.S. Soccer Youth Association, ESU will track the top soccer players throughout the year.

Elite Soccer University- breaks down the athletes by position and school grades to identify the top soccer players, from 8th grade to H.S. Seniors.

Identifying talent is a challenging task however, once this talent is found, creating the perfect environment to promote its optimal development is a great responsibility and an equally exigent trial.

This for us is an everyday challenge that we wholeheartedly welcome. The Elite Soccer University program of the Minority Soccer Development summer project is based on the soccer camps that Liverpool FC runs throughout Europe and of which we have been a part for some time.

These courses are designed for the inevitable diversity in skills and levels of players in youth summer camps, its content can be adapted structured to accommodate different numbers and conditions. The basis of this program are also compatible with the values of Minority Soccer Development as they highlight the importance of team play, courage, honor, humility bleness and dignity- all pillars of what has become known as ‘The Liverpool Way”.

An after-school program, the clubs will be free of charge to elementary, middle, and high school students (using up-to-date student ID as admission to the club – ensuring they are enrolled).

Facilities will include 3 indoor soccer fields, male/female restroom and locker areas, classrooms for seminars, computer labs for student use, and smaller meeting rooms for social workers if needed.

State-of-the-art soccer clubs will service surrounding communities and neighborhoods. These clubs ensure that – at least for a few hours out of the day – young people will be off the streets and maintain productive healthy lifestyles.
